I wanted to hide a cache that would not only bring to peoples attention the majesty of the Kensico Dam but also bring them to a site of memorial and reflection on the events of September 11, 2001. The coordinates provided are not at the GZ. Out of respect for post-9/11 concerns, the GZ is not situated on or close to the dam itself but is a short walk from the Park, or you could drive since there is parking available near the GZ.
The coordinates will take you to the center of "The Rising". Please be respectful of the deceased that are honored here. You will need to gather clues from the victims of this tragedy and various landmarks to plug into the coordinates I provide below. All clue sites are accessible by foot to the public.
Clues from the memorial:
A= The fourth digit of the birth year of a victim: "It's only half-time".
B= The only Rescue Company mentioned on any of the Victims.
C= The fourth digit of the birth year of a victim who was "A hero firefighter and Marine".
D= The fourth digit of the birth year of a victim who "had great dreams and visions".
E= The fourth digit of the birth year of a victim whose last name is very close to the authors of the title of this cache.
F= The fourth digit of the birth year of a victim who was "The bravest of the brave".
X = The fourth digit of the birth year of a victim whose nickname is an album by "The Who" (Keep this for later)
