El Escultismo es un movimiento educativo para la infancia y la juventud, autogobernado, independiente y apartidista, de carácter voluntario, y abierto a todos sin distinción de origen, nacionalidad, raza o creencia, de acuerdo con una finalidad y principios compartidos y un método propio. Su creación fue el resultado del éxito del libro “Escultismo para muchachos” (1908) del inglés Robert S. Baden Powell, quien se convirtió en el máximo responsable del escultismo británico primero (1909) y mundial después (1920), cuando el movimiento extendió por todo el mundo.
Ahora, estamos presentes en todo el mundo, más de 30 millones de personas, jóvenes y adultos, compartiendo un mismo sistema de valores y el deseo de construir un mundo mejor.
El Movimiento Scout abarca las edades de los educandos desde los 6 hasta los 21 años. Ya que los intereses, los objetivos y la forma de trabajar, nada tiene que ver la de un niño de 6 años con la de un adolescente de 15 años es necesario dividirlo en secciones por edades. En nuestro grupo tenemos 4 secciones; Castores (6-8 años), Lobatos (8-12 años), Scouts (12-16 años) y Rovers (16–21 años).
Quedamos todos los sábados 17.00 a 19.30 desde octubre hasta junio en el Calle Ramón y Cajal 8 en Mislata.
