Cette église a été construite en 1927.
Comme dit en préambule, elle essaye de faire de l'ombre à la cathédrale par sa taille imposante.
Elle fait partie de la paroisse "Saint-Thomas à Clermont" et du diocèse de Clermont-Ferrand.
L'une des oeuvres majeures de cet édifice est l'orgue disposé au-dessus du grand portail.
Il a été construit en 1927 par Joseph Rinkenbach pour le compte de l’Abbaye Bénédictine de Dourgne dans le Tarn.
En 1947, cet orgue est démonté pour être vendu à la paroisse Sainte-Jeanne d'Arc. Il est finalement installé dans l'église en 1951 par Marcel Gobin.
L’instrument est reconstruit et agrandi en 1951 par le facteur clermontois Maurice Gobin.
Entre 1981 et 1987, il subit de nouveaux travaux dans un style baroque par Jean David.

This church was built in 1927.
Like said previously, it tries to fight against the cathedral by its huge size.
It belongs to the parish of "Saint-Thomas à Clermont" and the diocese of Clermont-Ferrand.
One of the most beautiful part of this building is the organ placed above the great portal.
It was built in 1927 by Joseph Rinkenbach on behalg of l’Abbaye Bénédictine de Dourgne in the Tarn department.
In 1947, this organ was disassembled to be sold at the parish Sainte-Jeanne d'Arc. It was finally installed in the church in 1951 by Marcel Gobin.
The instrument was rebuilt and enlarged in 1951 by the local builder Maurice Gobin.
Between 1981 and 1987, new work was done in baroque style by Jean David.
Thanks to be discreet and put back correctly the cache inside its hidden place.
