Deze multi van +- 5 km leidt je doorheen het centrum van Mechelen.
De GPS heb je enkel nodig voor de eindlocatie.
Als bijlage op deze site vindt je enerzijds een stadsplattegrond waarop 20 spots aangeduid staan, anderzijds een fotoblad met 20 detailfoto’s van gebouwen. Op de gebouwen waarvan deze details genomen zijn, staat ook telkens een jaartal. Het zijn deze jaartallen die je nodig hebt om de eindcoördinaat te berekenen.
Opdracht: Bezoek de spots op de stadsplattegrond. Zoek op elk van deze spots de bijhorende detailfoto. Neem vervolgens het jaartal dat op het gebouw staat waarvan de detailfoto genomen is. Van dit jaartal heb je het cijfer nodig dat aangegeven staat bij de foto.
Bijvoorbeeld: Hieronder zie je een detail van een gebouw in Mechelen. Wanneer je naar de voorbeeldcoördinaat gaat, zal je het gebouw zien waarvan dit detail afkomstig is. Op dit gebouw zal je ook jaartal “1920” vinden. Omdat er bij de foto X3 is geschreven, betekent dit dat X het derde cijfer uit het jaartal is, of in dit geval dus X=2.
Op deze manier vind je de waardes van alle letters die je nodig hebt om de eindcoördinaat te bereken.
De foto’s moeten niet in een specifieke volgorde gezocht worden. Je kan dus zelf je route doorheen de stad bepalen.

Omdat het gebouw dat bij foto E hoort momenteel gerenoveerd wordt, waardoor de kleur niet langer rood maar grijs is en het jaartal niet altijd zichtbaar is, krijg je dit getal voorlopig cadeau. Hier zochten we E=7.
UPDATE 22/07/2017: Let op, de formule voor de berekening van de eindcoördinaten is gewijzigd! Aangezien deze cache meermaals is verdwenen, is het vanaf nu een micro.

Next you need to find the date (year) that is shown on the building from which the picture was taken. From this year, you need the number that is indicated on the picture page.
Example: Below you see a detail of a building in Mechelen. When you go to the example coordinate, you will see the building from which this detail was taken. On this building you will also see the year “1920”. Since X3 is written beneath the detail, this means that X is the third digit of this year, or in this case X=2.
In this way, you can find the values of all letters needed to calculate the final location.
It is not necessary to search the pictures in a specific order. You can define your own route through the city center.

As the building related to picture E is currently being renovated, because of which the colour is no longer red but grey and the year is not always visible, you get this number for free. The number we are looking for is E=7.
