2013. gada februārī skola tika nodota ekspluatācijā. Projekta autori ir SIA “MADE arhitekti” – Miķelis Putrāms, Linda Krūmiņa, Evelīna Ozola, Uldis Sedlovs, Liene Amoliņa.

Academy of music and art was opened in 2013. The authors of this building are office MADE architects Miķelis Putrāms, Linda Krūmiņa, Evelīna Ozola, Uldis Sedlovs, Liene Amoliņa. As one of the authors, Miķelis Putrāms said during the opening of the school: “This building is made to be a dream school. Each member of this project has once learnt in a music or art school therefore a school was created where the authors of the project themselves would like to learn and spend their time.”
This school is the first in the Baltic region where massive timber panels are used in the architecture of public buildings. There is no single painted surface on a facade of school building, every material share its natural colour and texture.
The school`s inside is painted in two colours - green colour in interior marks the Music school, while the blue is for the Art school.
In the part of the building where the music school is situated, every other wall is made sideways to provide better acoustics.
There are several halls for dancing lessons, a hall for orchestra lessons and a concert hall with 200 seats, giving the opportunity for acoustic or musical concerts to happen. On a regular basis concerts and master classes take place here.
