The better way to go to the cache is by a proper jeep or another vehicle, because is far away from a city. The use of bicycle is not recommended because the road is realy dirt with rocky terrain. You drive to the parking waypoint. You can leave your car there. You will maybe meet nobody up there. Anyway there are some sheep's foot prints, so be prepared in case you'll see sheep dogs.
After you park you have to go out of the road towards the cliff at the south side of the red mine. Try to find the sightseeing waypoint. From that location you will have a nice view. The best will be to go uphill to the peak you can see in front of you, it's easy and worths it!
The terrain is smooth and dirt. You don't need special shoes or other stuff to find the cache. Actualy you can go by car in front of it. It is also accesible by wheelchairs if you will be tranfered by car to the spot.
The only big rock close to plants at the south-east side of the mine is your aim. Go and search for any holes. In case you will don't find the cache please refer it. Maybe it will have been eaten by a sheep dog or wolf.
As for the location it is an abandoned mine of red rock (I think it is an iron mine, without to be a specialist). Somebody told me they were using this place for motocross practice after it was abandoned. Anyway it is a strange quiet place in the middle of the mountain's tops!
If you go on raining season (fall-winter) please have proper cloths and shoes. It seems to get a lot of water during a rain. The land seems to be wet but it's not, that's a strange thing!
This cache was created with "panatso". After you find it you can go searching the mt. Pateras cache series made by "feregios".
Enjoy Geocaching!
