To complete this Multi-cache, you will find 17 caches, 15 virtual and 2 physical. At the Student Gardens and the Eco Cycle station at the Rec Center, small caches can be found. Tokens are provided by the MU Sustainability Department and the Green Trail Project. Please take just one, and sign our notebooks.
The goal of the Green Trail is to create a walkable path for campus and community to follow and learn about how Marshall's many green initiatives.
At "green stations" along the Green Trail, signs will soon display interactive information about each location, along with QR codes and some Geo-cache options. By following the trail, visitors will be able to easily tour our campus, learn how we are working to “Be Marshall Green”, and see how to live more sustainably. We will also host guided teaching tours of our Green Trail and to use them for hands-on learning with area K-12, at-risk, and Marshall college students, as well as area residents. Through this education outreach, we hope to inspire all to embrace living a more sustainable lifestyle.

The Green Trail is a collaborative effort between multiple departments, faculty, staff and students, including:
The purpose of the Green Trail is to educate both our campus community and the greater Huntington community on how Marshall is growing more sustainable, more “green”. Each destination along the trail signifies an important aspect of Marshall’s sustainability efforts. As we grow “greener”, more destinations will be added, expanding our Green Trail.
New trail signs will be installed during the 2015 fall semester. These interactive signs will use graphics and photos to passively educate, while also providing QR codes for further interactions. A new Green Trail campus map graphic is currently being developed by Printing Services. Signs are being developed with the assistance of students, committee members, and the School of Art & Design.
