vo voľnej sérii tradičných kešiek s názvom Elevations QUEST. Vytiahnem Ťa na miesta v krásnej prírode, ktoré sú zaujímavé geograficky, geodeticky alebo len tak... pekným prostredím a/alebo výhľadom.
Dnes Ťa pozývam k Drienoveckej jaskyni, ktorá sa skrýva na juhovýchodnom okraji Národného parku Slovenský kras, na úpätí Jasovskej planiny. Pre kešku si ideme na kótu 250 m n. m.
Jaskyňa je súčasťou prírodnej rezervácie Palanta. Je to výverová jaskyňa vytvorená v troch vývojových úrovniach. Podzemný tok preteká dolnými časťami a je spojený s Jasovskou jaskyňou. Dĺžka jaskyne je 1.348 m a vertikálne rozšírenie má 85 m. Pozoruhodný je výskyt kôr kryštalického sadrovca a drúz kalcitu s kryštálmi veľkými 9–12 cm, ojedinele až 15 cm. Zaujímavými formami sintrovej výplne sú aj pizolitové, koralovité a kríčkovité útvary pôvodne vytvorené z priezračného aragonitu, miestami kryštalizovaného na kalcit. Je to tiež významný úkryt netopierov. Jaskyňu skúmali od druhej polovice 19. storočia. Archeologické nálezy sú z neolitu (bukovohorská kultúra) a z doby bronzovej (pilinská kultúra).

Nezabúdaj , že sa pohybuješ na území prírodnej rezervácie s najvyšším, piatym stupňom ochrany. Neschádzaj preto zo značeného turistického chodníka. Keška sa nachádza priamo na trase chodníka. Pamätaj tiež, že vnútorné priestory jaskyne NIE SÚ verejnosti prístupné.
P.S. Možno už vieš, možno nie, že v štatistikách project-gc sa Ti veľmi pravdepodobne objaví iná nadmorská výška, keďže systém SRTM3, ktorý používajú, je v našich končinách nepresný.

to free series of the traditional caches called Elevations QUEST. I am going to bring you to the places in a beautiful nature, which are interesting geographically, geodetically or just as they are... with nice countryside and/or view.
Today I invite you to Drienovecka Cave, which is hidden at the southeast edge of the National park Slovak karst, at the root of Jasovska plateau. To pick up the cache we go to the spot height 250 MAMSL.
The Cave belongs to the Natural reservation Palanta. It’s a spring river cave composed in three levels. The underground stream flows through the lower parts of the cave and in some way it is connected with the Jasov’s Cave. Its lenght is 1,348 m and vertical span 85 m. The upper parts are remarkable with occurrence of crystalline gypsum crusts and druses of calcite with crystals as much as 9 to 12 cm big, sporadically also 15 cm. Among the most interesting forms of flowstone fills belong pisolite, coral and dentritic forms, originally made of transparent aragonite and in places of recrystalized calcite. The Cave became a significant hiding place for the Bats as well. It has been explored since the second half of the 19-th century. Archeological discoveries found in the cave, come from the Neolithic (Bukk-Mountain Culture) and Bronze Age (Piliny Culture).

Do not forget, you are just about to move within the most strictly protected area according to the Law on the Nature protecion. DO NOT leave the turistic path therefore. This geocache is located right at the turistic path. And bear in mind as well, that the interior of the Cave falls under the same Law, therefore it IS NOT open to the public and any entry into is RESTRICTED for the prior permission from the state authorities.
P.S. You might know, or not, that within the statistics of the project-gc most probably there will show up different figure concerning the MAMSL, since the system SRTM3, which they use, is quite inaccurate in our area.
