Trudno wody nie kojarzyć z rybami. A tam gdzie ryba, tam rybacy i wędkarze, zwani popularnie moczykijami. Patrząc na mapę zobaczysz wyspy w nurcie Wisły, liczne starorzecza i płycizny. Jeden z rezerwatów przyrody nazywa się Ławice Kiełpińskie i trudno tej nazwy nie łączyć z rybami.
Tradycje rybackie są tu też dość stare, choć tego nie widać. Warto udać się na łomiankowski brzeg Wisły, gdzie można spotkać łodzie przycumowane do brzegu. Miejscowi rybacy jeszcze w czasie II wojny światowej zajmowali się przerzutem ludzi i towarów przez Wisłę, nie zawsze legalnie.

It is difficult not to associate water with fish. And where fish, there fishermen and anglers, known popularly "moczykije" (stick in a water man). Looking at the map you will see the islands in the mainstream of the Vistula River, numerous oxbow lakes and shallows. One of nature reserves called Kiełpińskie Shoals and it's difficult not to combine this name with fish.
Fishing traditions here are also quite old, though you can not see them. You should go on Łomianki bank of the Vistula River, where you can meet the boats moored to the shore. Local fishermen during the Second World War were engaged in smuggling of people and goods across the Vistula River, not always legally.
