The virtual stage of this cache is only accessible on foot along a narrow gravel path to the right of the Church. The actual cache is a medium size container big enough for the log and a few small swaps.
The Church tower is currently undergoing considerable improvement to the stone work. Be aware of being spied on from muggles hanging around above!!
St Peter's Church is a 15th Century Church which was significantly rebuilt in 1868. The church has a tower with six bells. The whole peal was recast by W. and J. Taylor of Oxford in 1823 from the previous peal of 5 bells. A church at Roborough is first mentioned in 1275. There was a west gallery in 1849. A Norman font is mentioned in 1849 and 1858 but does not survive. The stained glass in the chancel, is in memory of the Revd. William Walter Gurney, and is all part of the 1868 decorative scheme.
The co-ords will take you to the headstone of two men with the same name, they are both light and heavy at the same time! Please take the path to the right of the porch, the headstone is easily visible from this path.
