Geocache Description:

A Fine Pair # 301 ~ Minety

Number 301 in a series of caches where a red telephone box is in close proximity to a post box.
The only rule is that they have to be able to be photographed together, and the phone boxes have to be red.

About this Cache:

I will be expanding a new series shortly, "The Minety Monster Series" and decided I would be putting out a Fine Pair after talks with another cacher in the Wiltshire area. The phonebox is no longer used for making calls, and because of the location next to the school and how older children catch the school bus to the nearby town, this location wouldn't be easy for a container.

I decided that this cache would be the first in the series, and a suggested one. The Final GZ is located under 2 miles away, and I will make the container worthy for the finder.

How to Find the Cache:

To find the geocache, start at the phonebox and postbox.

1) Gather the information from the postbox number:  SN'A''B'  'C''D''E'D

2) Find the bus timetable board and look for what Number for the local service: FG

3) Now look for the plaque for Dorothy Meakin, and the year: HJKL

You can now site down in the bus shelter and work out the final location from this formula:

NFA (L/C)B.(E-D)K(B-C) WGGA K(J-H).(F+D)(J-D)(B+A)

The Fine Pair series was originally started by wizardsmum.

If anybody would like to place 'A Fine Pair' of their own please do, I would just ask that you let mattd2k at geocachingafinepair@gmail.com know first so he can keep track of the numbers and locations to avoid duplication.

He also keeps a public Bookmark List of this series so once your cache is published please contact him via his profile page to have yours added.
