The cache is a 1,0 litre "transparent" plastic food container with a blue rim on the lid.
The cache was placed by an American visiting family and friends in Sweden. It contained from start small American nicknacks.

Be sure to sign the log book, as well as post your find on this site.

Take an item, leave an item.
Ta en sak, lämna en sak.

Be sure to be VERY stealthy!
Vänligen agera MYCKET diskret!

I just have to give you the amazing story about the lost cache containers return, an absolutely true, but very remarkable, story!

Experienced today, the 11th of November 2013, one of the most remarkable events, so far, during my more than ten years of geocaching!

When I saw the November 11 log, about two "Americana Cache" containers, I felt that I immediately had to check it out so no more cacher would have become confused.

Yes, there were two cans! Very strange, because I just put one new there!

Even more remarkably, was when I realized what kind of container the "extra" one was.

It was the, since late in summer of 2005, missing original container of "Americana Cache"! It was that missing container which I replaced, with the result that I was offered to adopt the cache!

I almost wet myself of excitement and I got goose bumps all over my body! Wow!

Not only that, in the container was the original logbook containing the cache’s first log from 8th of April 2001, the FTF of "jasy", my brother, plus two more “logbooks” up to the last logging 20th of July 2005 by "hguo". The surprises were not over yet!

In it also lay the since 2005 disappeared TB "Secret treasure key"! It’s definitely not "In the hands of the owner" anymore because it is in mine and I have proof!

Why the container disappeared and where it has been during these eight years is a mystery. That does not become less because of a logging from 18th of January 2009, which was three and a half years after "hguo" wrote the last "real" log.
In this log, it’s namely written (my interpretation and translation, when it is not easy to read):
"Found this in the office. Surprised. Took “power cards”, left “Värdknapp” (”host button”).

Who moved the container from its place and how did it end up in someone's office and not the least, when and how did it come back in its place?

I do regular checks of the cache, sometimes due to comments in the logs, but often without typing maintenance logs if there isn’t anything in particular. No one have ever seen or reported any "extra" container on the site.

At the latest maintain visit on 10th of November, I found the container clearly visible and in the wrong place. I changed logbook and cleaned the container and then put it back in the right place without "inspecting" the hiding place. It may thus have been there then.

No one has ever reported two container on the site until "Hedenhöös" logged it the next day and pointed out that there were two.

So the questions are piling up:
Who took the container from its place?
Why was it brought from its site?
How did the container end up on someone's office?
Do anyone recognize the ”Värdknappen” (the host button)?
Who put it back in place?
When did it come back? and finally
Why did it emerge right now?

Ideally, I'd like to place the original container, but it has some cracks and has an inferior design from water tightness standpoint than a “modern” container, so it will be "archived" in my home until someone opens a geocaching museum , then perhaps it will move.

The pictures (in the original log) show you the original cache container and some of its content and the TB "Secret treasure key".

If you can help me to solve the mystery of what did happen the original container, I would be very grateful.
Please, send me an e-mail and tell me what you know.
