Welcome to the Petitcodiac Geocaching Challenge. The caches are placed in the Village of Petitcodiac as well as in the outlying areas of Cornhill and Glenvale.
The Village of Petitcodiac is known as the place where the River begins. The Petitcodiac river is formed when the North River and Anagance River combine and was named by the Mi’kmaq for its bend. The word Petitcodiac means “bends like a bow” The Petitcodiac River runs through South East NB and empties into Shepody Bay. The river used to play a very important role to the people using it. This short ATV trail travels along the banks of the area where the North and Anagance Rivers meet. Please be careful of ATV activity.
