Kitty was a cat that was well known around the area for scrounging for a free meal. Although she visited a lot of houses, nobody was willing to take full responsibility for her. We would regularly see her going in and coming out of different neighbours’ homes.
One winter when it had been snowing badly, she paid us a visit and decided to take refuge in our house from the snow for a couple of days. After that she adopted us and we became her 'official' owners. Although she didn’t visit as many houses anymore it didn’t stop her from wandering for miles.
The towpath can get extremely muddy in bad weather so please take extra care, especially if you have geo-kids with you.
