A: Former space competition in which a US$10,000,000 prize for the first non-government organisation to launch a reusable manned spacecraft into space twice within two weeks was offered. It was modeled after early 20th-century aviation prizes, and aimed to spur development of low-cost spaceflight. It was won in 2004 when SpaceShipOne achieved suborbital spaceflight twice within the time limit.

F: Known as The Creeping Unknown in the United States, this 1955 British science fiction horror film drama from Hammer Film Productions was based on a 1953 BBC Television serial written by Nigel Kneale. The story begins with three astronauts being launched into space aboard a rocket, but the spacecraft returns to Earth with only one occupant, Victor Carroon (Richard Wordsworth). Something has infected him during the spaceflight, and he begins mutating into an alien organism which, if it spawns, will engulf the Earth and destroy all humans.

G: A markup language that defines a set of rules for encoding documents in a format that is both human-readable and machine-readable. The W3C's 1.0 Specification and several other related specifications - all of them free open standards - define the language. Its design goals of emphasize simplicity, generality, and usability across the Internet. It is a textual data format with strong support via Unicode for different human languages. Although the design focuses on documents, the language is widely used for the representation of arbitrary data structures such as those used in web services. (Full name, not the TLA).

H: This company came to prominence in 1959 when it introduced the 914 - the so-called "most successful single product of all time." The 914 was the first plain paper photocopier, developed by Carlson and John H. Dessauer. Its popularity was such that by the end of 1961 the company had almost $60 million in revenue. The product was sold by an innovative ad campaign showing that even monkeys could make copies at the touch of a button. Simplicity would become the foundation of the firm's future products and user interfaces. Revenues jumped to over $500 million by 1965.
