About SideTracked Caches

This cache belongs to the SideTracked series. It is not designed to take you to a magical place with a breath taking view. It's a distraction for the weary traveller, but anyone else can go and find it too. More Information can be found at the SideTracked Website

The given co-ordinates are the grounds of the wind turbine. To work out the co-ordinates of the actual cache read on

This cache is located in the shadow of the Kings Langley wind turbine. The turbine generates electricity for the offices located on site which research renewable energy systems. Any residual electricity is sold to the national grid. This cache is themed around electricity, and specifically the portable kind.

Alkaline batteries are composed of many chemical compounds. The shell of the battery is made from nickel coated steel pieces that are deep drawn

to take the form of a battery.

The shells are then filled with graphite (12C) as it conducts electricity due to its unusual planar structure.

A Silver (107.9Ag) catalyst is used to shift the position of equilibrium between chemicals in the battery to the side with fewer molecules, this reduces pressure inside the capsule and reduces the risk of explosion.

Manganees Dioxide is the main component used in the cathode of the battey. Manganees Dioxide (MnO2) comes in a powdered form and can be pressed inside the capsule. It is composed of Manganees (54.9Mn) and Oxygen (16O).

Barium Sulfate (Ba2SO4) is used to bind the components together. Barium Sulfate is comprised of Barium (9Ba), Sulfur (32.1S) and Oxygen

(16O)

Zinc (65.4Zn) is the main component in the anode.

Potassium Hydroxide (KOH) is also added to the batteries. Potassium Hydroxide contains Potassium(39.1K) , Oxygen (16O) and Hydrogen(1H).

To work out the co-ordinates to the final resting place of the cache, fill in the blanks.
