Geocache Description:

Monterey Heights is a neighborhood park located in southern New Hanover County and was renovated in 2011.  It offers a multi-purpose field, 0.3 mile walking trail, picnic shelter and 2 playgrounds.  Park hours are 8am-sunset each day.

This geocache is one of 12 caches in the New Hanover County Parks & Gardens Geo-Challenge.  All 12 caches are small, light brown, rectangular plastic containers.  This challenge and prize was created for children, but all ages are welcome to participate.

To complete the challenge:

  1. Print a Geo-Challenge passport from our website
  2. Locate all 12 caches
  3. Stamp your passport with the stamper in each cache
  4. Take your completed passport to the Parks Office to receive your prize
