Geocache Description:

About SideTracked Caches
This cache belongs to the SideTracked series. It is not designed to take you to a magical place with a breath taking view. It's a distraction for the weary traveller, but anyone else can go and find it too. More Information can be found at the SideTracked Website (See Related Web Page above)

Parc Waun-gron (English: Waun-Gron Park) railway station serves the south-east Fairwater area of Cardiff. The station was built when the City Line 2.4 miles (4 km) west of Cardiff Central reopened to passenger services in 1987. Journey times from Waun-gron Park are eight minutes to Cardiff Central, 11 minutes to Radyr and 28 minutes to Coryton. There is no Sunday service, although some trains running to destinations such as Merthyr Tydfil, Aberdare and Treherbert from Cardiff Central sometimes pass Waun-gron Park on the City Line when the usual line for these services through Cardiff Queen Street is closed for engineering work. Freight trains also regularly pass, on all days.

The cache is larger than a 35mm film can, and is located on the opposite side of the road to the station entrance (on the Western Avenue side of the bridge), and there is ample parking. There is no need to enter the station (unless you want to). Oh, and there can be lots of muggles. Please bring a pen.
