This is a small cache with just a log. Bring a pen. Parking is all over the place. Rest Area hours are 0900-1900 daily. Cache is able to get at any time.
I always stop here whether its on the way up or the way back down. This rest area just has so many things. There's the normal souvenir shops and lots of variety of local Okinwan foods. This particular stop has, what I believe, the best seaweed tempura on the island. It is awesome and the fresh Okinawan donuts are a sweet tasty treat. You can take the steps at the restrooms to take in a nice view of the bay. The GZ is located right next to a very awesome visitor center that has many brochures of places to visit in the North. It also has a giant map of the upper half of the island.
