This cache is part of a series of eight caches related to the game Minecraft. Each of seven preliminary caches has a code word that is required to unlock both later caches in the series and ultimately the eighth and final bonus cache, The Ender Dragon. Please leave laminated clue cards in the cache containers. See the links at the bottom of this listing to access all of the caches in the series.
Redstone and Iron Ore can be mined with a pickaxe and provide the material for several important craftable items, including a compass, which is required to make a map.
As a prerequisite to finding this cache, you must first find Wood. This is in order to craft a pickaxe:
When you have acquired the code word from Minecraft: Wood, you have two options to retrieve the information for the cache (both options return the same info):
1) Include the code from Wood in the subject line of an email to minecraftcaches@gmail.com. An automated reply will provide you with what you need.
2) Download the following password-protected pdf file and create the password thusly: for each letter of the code word, convert it to a number using its placement in the alphabet (A=1, B=2, etc). For all even numbers, convert them back to letters. So e.g. "CLUE" --> 3 12 21 5 --> 3L215

The cache is 2 stages and is hidden along the Cross Country Trail. It is less than a mile round trip. There is a fair-weather creek crossing that may not be passable after large rain events. The first stage is a large host with micro coordinates, and the final stage is a large lock-n-lock. Use caution accessing the first stage as the terrain can be challenging, especially in wet conditions.
