Cacheapalooza 10 (CP10) will be held in
Jonathan Dickinson State Park,
16450 S.E. Federal Highway, Hobe Sound, Florida 33455,
at the Kitching Creek Pavilion.
The event will last from 8:00 AM. until 7:00 PM on Saturday, January 16, 2016 .
Last minute reminders:
1. Check in 8-10 am the morning of the event at the pavilion
2. Obey all park rules especially: Do not speed. Do not block any gates. All wheels off the pavement when parking along roadways. Dogs need to be on a 6' leash.
3. Downloads of caches will be available at check in. Bring your cables please.
Jonathan Dickinson State Park is a Florida State Park and historic site located in Martin County, Florida, between Hobe Sound and Tequesta. The park includes a variety of natural communities, such as sand pine scrub, pine flatwoods, mangroves, and river swamps.
The Loxahatchee River, which was named a National Wild and Scenic River in 1985 (the first in Florida), runs through the park.
Cacheapalooza 10 will be a fun filled weekend of Geocaching in Jonathan Dickinson State Park. We will have 200+ new loggable geocaches of all types with various difficulty and terrain ratings hidden in this diverse 11,500-acre park. We will be bringing back some old favorites! Along with the caching, we are also planning other events for you to enjoy. Oh, and you may want to check in early as we will have a bonus for early birds. Thanks for the memories!
This will be the last Cacheapalooza event (so don't miss it!)...it's been 10 years and now it's time to close the (log) book. All new and existing caches will remain until age, burn, or muggles cause them to have to be archived.
We will be once again serving pizza this year around 5pm.

Jonathan Dickinson State Park has granted special permission for additional camping opportunities for those interested in attending this event: January 15th, 16th, & 17th ONLY
10 self-contained RV sites (only park-designated RV parking sites are to be used) in the Loxahatchee Pavilion parking lot; the cost will be $15 per night per RV site, plus tax; water, electric, and sewer hook-ups are not provided;
tent camping for 50 people in the grassy area adjacent to the Loxahatchee Pavilion (bathrooms and outdoor showers are available); camping will not be allowed in the Swimming Area; patrons will need to carry their camping gear to their site (parking will be in park-designated areas only); the cost will be $5 per person per night, plus tax;
***Beginning December 28th at 8 a.m., to reserve your RV or tent camping site(s), call the park's Ranger Station at (772) 546-2771.
