Luftwaffe HQ: Göring's bunker OKL Robinson Traditional Geocache

Well preserved shelter near Goldap. During World War II – it was the Luftwaffe headquarters with the code name: Robinson.

The military complex situated by the lake Gołdap was called Robinson, after the Goering's armoured train.  The trains camouflaged with a net and always ready to set off were kept in a trench at two railway stations: Eichkamp and Kumiecie Wielkie. 1^st June, 1944 Goering’s headquarters in Rominty was ordered to be destroyed, due to the approaching Red Army. The order was executed at night 19^th – 20^th October, 1944.
