This cache has been archived.

Leptoceratops: Hello!
I'm archiving your cache as it has been disabled for more than a one month and it is lost, completely damaged or inappropriate. Caches should be visited and maintained within 30 days after disabling.
Archiving a geocache is meant to be a permanent action. If a cache is archived by a reviewer or staff for lack of maintenance, it will not be unarchived.

If there are still leftovers from container I would appreciate if other players could collect them so that there is no trash in the nature.

Happy geocaching!

Geocache Description:

[LV] Slēpnis atrodas Līčupes krastā, aptuveni 1,5 km attālumā no Tomes zivjaudzētavas.

Egle atroas pāris metrus no ūdens.

[EN] Cache is located on the banks of a small river Līčupe and is within a 1,5 km walking distance from the hatchery "Tome". It's a nice little walk through the forest. Cache is on the right bank of the river, hidden on a land corner, underneath a root of a spruce tree. Cache is a small black box containing a logbook, pencil and exchangeable items. It's hidden on the bank of river Līčupe. When you come to the end of the trail, you'll see a round landmark dug into the ground. Cache is hidden underneath a spruce tree root about 25m away from that landmark going towards the corner of the land (direction West). Follow the hint and you'll find the right spruce tree which stands a couple of meters from the water.

The nearby hatchery "Tome" is one of the oldest fish farms in Latvia. It was found in 1929, renovated and expanded in 1983. „Tome” is the largest hatchery of salmon smolts in Latvia and in the Baltic Sea region. The main task of the hatchery „Tome” is to compensate losses of Daugava's salmon and sea trout resources.

If you're careful (and quiet), you can also notice some other animals in these forests, such as, deer, squirrels, grass-snakes (not venomous) and many different birds.

After finding the cache, please, put it back in the same place and cover the hole.
