The church was founded in 1891 as st paulus,tardy gate.The present church was built in 1913 and dedicated to st gerard majella.
The cache should only be approached from wateringpool lane,as you turn into this road from brownedge road there is an unsurfaced track immediately on the left,this is the only way to get to it...
