Geocache Description:

Cheung Chau is a beautiful island with its own colourful traditions and history. Enjoy!

Cheung Chau Bun Festival ( 包山節) or Cheung Chau Da Jiu Festival (長洲太平清醮) is a traditional Chinese festival that usually happens in early May on the island of Cheung Chau in Hong Kong.
GZ is near an open area where the Cheung Chau people hold the spectacular Cheung Chau Bun Festival.

Every year, the people of Cheung Chau get busy preparing costumes, baking buns and building a bamboo tower. They’re preparing for the thousands of people that will soon descend upon their tiny island for what Time.com deemed one of the world's Top 10 Quirky Local Festivals
If you go further down the road, you will also see The Pak Tai Temple cheung chau which was built in 1783 and is now listed as Grade 1 historical building by the Antiquities Advisory Committee. Pak Tai, The Taoist God of the Sea, also goes by the snappy title of the Supreme Emperor of the Northern Heaven or the Mysterious Heaven. This cultural gem contains gold-plated woodcraft dating from the Qing Dynasty and a Song Dynasty iron sword. The sculpted dragons adorning the roof are classic Chinese architectural features.

BTW, after finding the cache, do enjoy some seafood before you go. You can also find a lot of value for money seafood restaurants along the nearby San Hing Praya Street.
