============================
This oak constitued the 2nd stop of the Tromenie to venerate St Thelo, the founder of Lann Thelo. The saint would have found refuge to escape from Lord Kastell-Gall's dogs. Many people take with them a piece of the oak bark to protect their houses from fire. The existence of this sacred tree is a unique case in Basse-Bretagne.
The original oak died of old age and this one was a shoot.
Unfortunately the shoot was attaqued by a root fungus and fell on the 30/10/2006. The uprooted tree is still there.
