In the past, and hopefully in the future, geocachers have been part of the on going heathland restoration program in Owlbeech wood. This restoration of the heathland has been successful in getting the rare Nightjar bird to return to the area to breed. This Wherigo will take you around this wood and past some of the areas where geocachers have cleared birch trees to help restore the heathland as well as digging a pond.
The cache is not at the coordinates, but is the starting point and will take you on a tour around Owlbeech Woods and past some heathland areas cleared by Geocachers in the past. Please leave any feedback and let me know if you have any problems.
