Geocache Description:

Church of St. Thomas the Apostle, Lymington

The church was originally built as a Chapel of Christchurch Priory and has been expanded over the centuries. In 1953, the church was designated Grade II listed.

The Tower, with its distinctive cupola, holds a peal of 8 bells, the Tenor (the biggest bell) weighs 20cwt-1qrs-3lbs and strikes the note Eb 3 of the bells date from 1901 and were cast by John Taylor and Co. in Loughborough. The other 5 bells were cast by Robert II Wells in 1785.

This is a quick cache set in a high muggle area so please use stealth when retrieving. Saturday there is a street market and the high street becomes very VERY congested, you have been warned.

If anybody would like to expand  this series please do, I would just ask that you could let Sadexploration know first at churchmicro@gmail.com so he can keep track of the Church numbers and names to avoid duplication.

There is also a Church Micro Stats & Information page found via the Bookmark list

Congrats to Gruffalos Child for the FTF
