LE TENON DE GILLES

Sur cette partie du Rhône, on observe une grande partie des groupements des grands fleuves européens, à l'exception notoire des prairies naturelles qui y sont très marginales (elles ont été bien souvent détruites par divers aménagements et par l'urbanisation) :
-les groupements herbacés à hydrophytes (potamots, lentilles d'eau, renoncules aquatique) qui se maintiennent très bien dans les contre-canaux et les lônes,
-les groupements à hélophytes,
-les groupements de bancs de graviers
-les ripisylves qui occupent le lit majeur

Caution during floods the wetland becomes impractical

On this part of the Rhone, there is a lot of the groups of major European rivers, with the notable exception of natural grasslands that are very marginal (they were often destroyed by various developments and urbanization)
-the groups to herbaceous hydrophytes (pondweed, duckweed, water buttercup) that are maintained very well in the against-channels and lônes,
-the moieties helophytes,
-the body of gravel banks
-the occupying the riparian floodplain.
