A church micro in the small village of Rowney Green, giving you to opportunity to see this lovely little tucked away chapel.
This delightful chapel is tucked away in the hamlet of Rowney Green, which is part of the parish of Alvechurch.
Anglicans and Methodists, and friends from other denominations, have shared this building since the Rowney Green Anglican Mission Church closed in 1978, worshipping both separately and together until 2002 when the unanimous decision was made to worship as one. In 2012 it became an official Local Ecumenical Partnership within the Bromsgrove and Redditch Methodist Circuit (who retain ownership of the building) and the Church of England Parish of Alvechurch.
Services are held at 9.30am each Sunday with one Anglican and one Methodist Communion every month.
A chalet suitable for retreats has just been refurbished and is available for use by small groups, and a monthly community lunch takes place in the church.
To find the cache, work out ABCDEF and substitute as follows: N52 20.ABC W001 55.DEF
Where the clues relate to the notice board, you are only looking at the permanent, obvious letters, not any notices that the board may contain, nor any tiny, hidden away manufacturer's markings etc.
A = Number of letters in the third word on the notice board MINUS number of benches on roadside
B = Number of letters in the colour that is named on the notice board PLUS the number of times the letter C appears on the notice board
C = Number of arched windows on the side of the church facing the road
D = Number of letters in the second word on the stone plaque at the front of the church
E = Value of fourth digit on the stone plaque at the front of the church
F = Value of second digit on the stone plaque at the front of the church
Please take care when finding and replacing the cache as this area has a lot of dogwalking muggles with very stealthy abilities! They come out of nowhere, let me tell you!
