Can you not get enough of pie?
Then you are luck and this the event you have been waiting your entire life for! Come out to Union Square in lovely Downtown Hickory, NC on Saturday, March 14, 2015 to celebrate this very important day with a Pie-Eating Flash Mob from 9:26 a.m. to 9:36 a.m. Afterwards, join us for a post event coffee at the shop just around the corner(not actual part of the event, just a tasty compliment to your pie and a way to warm up afterwards.)
Even if you have never been a part of a flash mob, you are more than welcomed to join us!! No harm should come to you, unless you happen to be filled with ooey-gooey yumminess of apple, cherry or pecan, then you are on your own.
For the event, please bring your own piece of pie (most grocery store deli areas carry those little round pies the size of a door knob, or you might find someone sweet enough to share theirs with you without your losing a single finger! Stranger things have happned.
Please DO NOT CONGREGATE in one area before the exact time of the event, that would negate the entire purpose of it being a FLASH mob! :) There are plenty of benches and tables and loitering areas close by where you can hang out till it is time. When it is one minute before time, please make your way to me at Ground Zero, pie in hand, and when the clock strikes 9:26 we will all begin to enjoy our dessert! (Pi = 3.1415926, in case you did not understand the odd time) Then after 10 minutes, we will disperse and those that wish can make their way around the corner to the coffee shop to warm up!
There will be a small piece of swag made specifically for this event for the first 30 people to show up, be sure to get yours!!
