Helsinki Geopoly yhdistää perinteisen lautapelin pelaamisen maastossa tapahtuvaan kätköilyyn. Geopoly-sarjaan kuuluu kaikkiaan 30 mysteerikätköä, joiden koordinaatit selviävät pelilaudalla etenemällä. Pelaaja saa tietoonsa sen kätkön koordinaatit, joille pelinappula noppien heiton jälkeen osuu (poikkeuksena rautatieasemat ja laitokset). Pelaaja saa heittää noppia uudestaan vasta syötettyään peliin koodin, joka löytyy kyseisestä kätkörasiasta.

Kauppatori
Kauppatori syntyi 1800-luvun alussa, jolloin Helsingin keskusta rakennettiin uudelleen Suomen suuriruhtinaskunnan pääkaupungiksi. 1890-luvulla Kauppatorin rantaa pitkin vedettiin Katajanokalle kulkenut satamarata; tämän vuoksi toria laajennettiin merelle päin ja sen päihin rakennettiin kaksi kääntösiltaa, jotta junat pääsisivät Kolera-altaan suun ja Katajanokan kanavan yli. Rautatieliikenne Katajanokalle lakkautettiin ja kiskot purettiin 1980-luvulla. Katsotaan pääsetkö tätä reittiä Geopolyn asemoiden kautta vai suoraan!
Helsinki Geopoly combines the traditional board game with geocaching in the outdoors. The Geopoly cache series consists of 30 mystery caches altogether; the coordinates of which can be discovered by advancing in the game. Landing the pawn on a cache after rolling the die will reveal the coordinates of the cache (railway stations and the two plants being the exception). The player may roll the dice again only after entering a code into the game. The code can be found in the cache container.

The Market Square (Kauppatori in Finnish) of Helsinki was constructed in early 1800's, when the city centre of Helsinki was built as a new capital of Grand Duchy of Finland. Ca. 1890 there was a railway from Kauppatori to Katajanokka, including turn-tables for the rails in the bridges. These rails were taken away in about 1980, but maybe you can still find your way to the cache. If not straight, then atleast via some of the stations of the Geopoly!
