Geocache Description:

A quick cache on the North side of tunnel, stealth required at this busy intersection

This trail is especially good for cyclists, but can be done in sections by walkers . This trail will take you along the 11 miles from Polegate to Heathfield. The trail is surfaced throughout and mainly traffic free. There are a few bits where you need to cross roads or travel on roads through urban areas. There is little evidence of the old railway line left today but occasionally you spot some gems peeping through the shrubbery and at one point you cycle along what was once a platform. The whole trail is alive with birds and other woodland critters. Look out for muggle walkers by the thousand at weekends and please be aware that horses share most of the route with you. The route from Polegate to Heathfield is gently uphill most of the way. I have tried to place most of the caches only a few paces off the path and in areas where you won't get scratched or stung to death but as always some may be a challenge and a bit more devious :-)

Well Done FTF MikeofWaldron
