A Puzzle a Day ... Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

teamajk: It was a beautiful sunny day today (most un-January-like and very welcome after days and days of cold rain) so I took the opportunity to pay a visit and see if I could straighten out this cache. Unfortunately, not only is the ammo can gone (as was previously reported) but the object the cache was hidden in has completely disintegrated. I was able to retrieve the bag containing the log and another bag with some swag (each of which were pretty wet and yucky inside) and will dispose of them. Thanks to all who solved the puzzle and came and found this cache.

On January 1, 2011, I started a blog called the Geocaching Puzzle of the Day, in which I planned to share geocaching puzzles that I thought deserved a larger audience. A wide range of fun, clever, and unique puzzles of all difficulty levels have been shared. I committed to sharing a puzzle every day for one year, and figured I would keep going after that for as long as I was able to find interesting puzzles to share, and still have fun doing it. Over 4 years and nearly 1500 puzzles later, it's still going. Day in and day out I am always on the lookout for fun puzzles, and have encouraged people to send me ones they have written or solved that they think others would enjoy. Along the way I've been in touch with a lot of great puzzlers, and paid virtual visits to every state in the U.S. and around 30 different countries around the world. This cache is dedicated to all the puzzle CO's out there whose work I have enjoyed so much.
