The Church of St. Georges has always had a special place in our hearts. It was the local church, modern and contemporary and the place where The Paddox School Christmas service always took place. More importantly, 40 years ago Mr and Mrs Lansdown were married there on a bright sunny day on the 30th November 1974.
St. Georges has been ministering in this area for about 70 years. The older building at the side of the modern 1970s church was the original place of worship. The foundation stone on this building reads “To the Glory of God this stone was laid by Mrs H N Sporborg, In the presence of the Bishop of Coventry on March 9th 1940.”
