Pour la première fois un grand événement d’EarthCache aura lieu en France !

Nous voudrions vous inviter à un événement géologique insolite au cœur du Nord Pas de Calais.

Carboniferous Times, est le premier grand événement français d’EarthCache en partenariat avec la ville de Lewarde, le Centre Historique minier, la Société Géologique du Nord, la Société Américaine de Géologie (GSA), et bien sûr au nom de Groundspeak.
Le programme détaillé de l'événement sera annoncé bientôt, l’ordre du jour est en cours. Sachez qu’une organisation de la visite de la mine est à l’étude ainsi que d'autres activités.

L’événement principal aura lieu le samedi 29 Août mais la présentation du Geocoin fera l’objet d’un premier événement le vendredi 28 où il sera possible de récupérer le vôtre. Prenez soin de réserver votre hébergement : la capacité de Douai est d'environ 850 places. Le parking du centre minier offre la possibilité aux camping-cars de rester sur place du vendredi au dimanche.

Ce qui vous attend:
En plus d'explorer la mine et de faire des EarthCaches ; des activités culturelles, des conférences animées par des géologues, des quiz pour gagner quelques prix, l'émission du Geocoin lié à cette terre et à l'or nordiste : le charbon.

Un souvenir unique de l'événement sera proposé après votre attended que vous pourrez coller dans votre profil. Préparez-vous pour un week-end de charbon, mais pas seulement ;)

For the first time, a great EarthCache event will take place in France!

We invite you to this geological and unusual event in the heart of the Nord-Pas-De-Calais.

Carboniferous Times is the first major French Earthcache event. An event organized in collaboration with the city of Lewarde, the Historical Mining Center, the Geological Society of North, the Geological Society of America (GSA) and of course Groundspeak.

The program and event details will be available soon. We are currently working in the timetables and the organization of the visit of the mine as well as other activities.

The main event will take place on Saturday 29^th of August but the Geocoin presentation will take place on a first welcome event on Friday 28th.

Don’t forget to book your accommodation: the hotel capacity of Douai is for about 850 people. In addition, the mining centre offers parking for mobile homes from Friday to Sunday.

What is waiting for you:
The exploration of the mine, EarthCaches, cultural activities, lectures by geologists, geological trivial to win some prizes and the release of a Geocoin linked to this land and the northern gold: coal.

Voor de eerste keer zal een groot Earthcache event doorgaan in Frankrijk!

Graag hadden we jullie uitgenodigd voor dit ongewoon geologisch evenement die doorgaat in het hart van het departement Nord-Pas de Calais.

Carboniferous Times is het eerste grote Franse Earthcache event in samenwerking met de stad Lewarde, het Centrum voor Mijn-geschiedenis, de Geologische Vereniging van Noord-Frankrijk, de Geological Society of America (GSA) en natuurlijk in naam van Groundspeak.

De details van het programma worden weldra bekend gemaakt, de dagindeling wordt nu opgesteld. Eén van de mogelijke activiteiten die onderzocht wordt, is een bezoek aan de koolmijn. Het hoofdevent gaat door op zaterdag 29 augustus terwijl de voorstelling van de geocoin zal plaatsvinden tijdens een eerste event op vrijdag 28, waar je jouw exemplaar zal kunnen bekomen.

Zorg op tijd voor overnachting: de capaciteit van Douai is ongeveer 850 bedden. De parking van de event locatie laat camping-cars toe van vrijdag tot zondag.

Wat jullie te wachten staat:
Naast het verkennen van de mijn en het bezoeken van enkele earthcaches; culturele activiteiten, conferenties gegeven door geologen, quiz-spelletjes met enkele prijzen, de presentatie van de geocoins verbonden aan het locale goud: steenkool.

Zum ersten Mal findet ein großes EarthCache Event in Frankreich statt!

Wir möchten Euch zu einem ungewöhnlichen geologischen Ereignis im Herzen von Nord Pas de Calais laden.

Carboniferous Times ist das erste große französiche EarthCache-Event in Partnerschaft mit der Stadt Lewarde und dem historischen Bergbauzentrum „Centre Historique minier“, der Geologischen Gesellschaft Nord, der Geological Society of America (GSA) und natürlich im Namen von Groundspeak.
Das detaillierte Programm der Veranstaltung wird in Kürze bekannt gegeben, das Tagesprogramm ist in der Planung. Die Organisation eines Besuchs des Bergwerks und andere Aktivitäten sind geplant.

Das Hauptevent ist am Samstag, 29. August, aber die Präsentation des Geocoins findet auf der ersten Veranstaltung am Freitag, 28.8. statt, wo ihr Euren Geocoin bekommen könnt. Denkt daran eine Unterkunft zu buchen: in Douai gibt es etwa 850 Möglichkeiten. Der Parkplatz des Bergbauzentrums bietet Möglichkeiten für Camper, um dort von Freitag bis Sonntag zu stehen.

Was erwartet Euch:
Neben der Erkundung des Bergwerks gibt es EarthCaches, kulturelle Aktivitäten, Vorträge von Geologen; Quiz, bei denen man Preise gewinnen kann und die Ausgabe von Geocoins zum Thema Karbon.

Nós convidamo-vos a este evento geológico e invulgar no coração do Nord-Pas-De-Calais.

“Carboniferous Times” é o primeiro grande evento francês sobre as Earthcaches. Um evento organizado em colaboração com a cidade de Lewarde, o Centro Histórico de Mineração, da Sociedade Geológica do Norte, da Sociedade Geológica da América (GSA) e, claro, Groundspeak.

O programa e detalhes do evento estará disponível em breve. Estamos actualmente a trabalhar nos horários e na organização da visita à mina, bem como outras actividades.

O evento principal terá lugar no sábado, 29 de Agosto, mas a apresentação da geocoin terá lugar num primeiro evento de boas-vindas na sexta-feira dia 28.

Não se esqueça de reservar o seu alojamento: a capacidade hoteleira de Douai é de cerca de 850 pessoas. Além disso, o centro de mineração oferece estacionamento para autocaravanas de Sexta a Domingo.
