Am început să caut cutii în luna februarie a acestui an și de cele mai multe ori am mers singur, dar în septembrie, ca urmare a event-ului organizat de mine (GC5B5WN - End of GBTE2014), am ajuns să cunosc o parte din marea comunitate de geocacheri din Fyn și împrejurimi.
Altfel spus, am cunoscut oamenii din spatele ID-urilor de geocaching.com și am câștigat prieteni noi, prieteni care împărtășesc aceeași dragoste pentru acest joc numit geocaching. De fapt, pentru unii dintre noi geocachingul nu e un joc, nu e un hobby, e un mod de a trăi, un lifestyle!
Unul din cei pe care i-am cunoscut la acest event, de fapt chiar primul care a venit, a fost 29kenneth, un nume pe care, vă spun sincer, abia așteptam să-l asociez unei fețe. Asta deoarece văzusem foarte multe log-uri semnate de el chiar înaintea mea sau puțin după mine, prin cache-urile pe care le-am găsit în Danemarca. Așadar fusesem, fără să știm, prin aceleași locuri aproximativ în aceeași perioadă.
După event am tot ținut legătura și am plecat deseori împreună în geo-excursii în locuri pe care eu nu le mai vizitasem și probabil singur nu aș fi ajuns cu așa ușurință. Am găsit împreună peste 100 de cutii în doar vreo 3 astfel de excursii, ceea ce e impresionant, zic eu. E drept, cu mașina e mult mai ușor să găsești un număr mare de cache-uri într-o singură zi dar de asemenea în echipă e mult mai ușor și e mult mai distractiv jocul.
Când mi-a spus că vrea să duc un TB în România am zis „ok” fără să mă gândesc prea mult. Dar apoi am văzut detaliile, am citit descrierea și pe loc a devenit cel mai important Travel Bug pe care l-am descoperit vreodată. Pentru ceea ce am găsit scris acolo, pentru ceea ce înseamnă el pentru că fără prieteni viața ar fi groaznic de tristă!
De când a intrat în posesia mea, a vizitat câteva cache-uri pe acolo pe unde am fost și de asemenea a cunoscut o parte din prietenii mei geocacheri și țin foarte mult la asta: ca el să cunoască cât mai mulți prieteni și prietenii pe parcursul călătoriei sale! El reprezintă o celebrare a prieteniei, așa că nu vă sfiiți să vă fotografiați împreună!
Pentru că așa cum am spus, acest Travel Bug este foarte important pentru mine, am dorit să fie marcat într-un mod special începutul misiunii sale și prin urmare am creeat acest eveniment
În prima parte, pe 30 Decembrie 2014 - ne găsim la Iași (GC5HA6Z) pentru că am prieteni aici, prieteni care s-au apucat și ei recent de geocaching, prieteni care, îmi doresc din tot sufletul, să participe în număr cât mai mare la eveniment, să discutăm despre vrute și nevrute.
Dar în afară de prieteni, mai sunt geocacheri în Iași pe care nu-i cunosc, așa că mi-ar face deosebită plăcere dacă la data stabilită ar putea face o pauză de o oră sau mai puțin, ca să ne găsim și noi la un pahar de vorbă și să ne cunoaștem. Și de asemenea orice alt geocacher se află prin oraș la acea dată este binevenit. Cu cât mai mulți cu atât mai bine!
Am zis să fie la Palas Mall, undeva în Foodcourt, ca să fie accesibil tuturor. Voi fi acolo între 11:00 și 14:00 să întâmpin pe oricine dorește să mi se alăture. Fiecare stă cât poate, cât vrea!
A doua parte va avea loc în seara zilei de 1 Ianuarie 2015 la Sibiu (GC5HEZP)
Acolo, după ce în timpul zilei vom fi căutat cutii în minunatul oraș transilvănean, vom cunoaște geocacheri locali, ne vom face prieteni noi și ne vom simți bine împreună, prieteni vechi și noi, la Kleines Cafe, după ora 19:00.
La finalul serii Friendship, The Awesome Travel Bug își va începe oficial misiunea, adică îmi părăsește inventarul fie în mâna unui geocacher local, fie în cache-ul ce se află deja la locația amintită: GC4NXPF
Abia aștept să vă întâlnesc / să vă revăd!

I started geocaching in February this year and I found most of the boxes by myself, but in September, at my Event Cache: GC5B5WN - End of GBTE2014 I met some of the geocachers from Fyn and surroundings. That's to say, I met the people behind the geocaching.com ID's and I gain new friends, friends that share my love for this game. Actually, for some of us, geocaching is not a game or a hobby, it's a lifestyle!
One of the people I met then, in fact the first to arrive at the event, was 29kenneth, a name that, I must say, I was very eager to associate with a person since I've seen his signature pretty often in the caches I found, either just before me or soon after me. We can say that we visited about the same places in almost the same period of time, without knowing each other.
After the event we kept in touch and we did some geo-trips together in places I haven't been before and most likely I couldn't reach by myself in this weather. Together we found over 100 caches in 3 geo trips, which, in my opinion, is a pretty big deal. It's true that going by car means you can find more caches in a single day, but also teaming up really helps and makes the game more fun!
When he told me that he wants me to take a TB to Romania I was like „ok”, without giving it much thought. But then I saw the details and I read the description, and that is when it became the most important Travel Bug I ever discovered, grabbed or retrieved. Because of what is written there, because of what it symbolizes , because life without friends would be awfully sad!
Since it's been in my inventory, he visited a few caches in the places I've been and also he met a few of my geocaching friends. I really care about this: for him to meet as many friends and friendships during his travel! It is a celebration of Friendship among geocachers, so don't be shy to take a photo with him!
Since this Travel Bug is so important to me, I wanted the beginning of it's journey to be also something special, and so I created this event
The first part will take place on December 30, 2014 in Iași (GC5HA6Z) because I have friends here, friends who recently started geocaching, friends that, I really hope, will attend to this event. Also there are a few other geocachers in Iasi that I don't know yet, so I would be more than happy to meet them if they would like to attend. As well as any other geocacher that is in the area on that date. The more the merrier!
I've set the meeting place at Palas Mall FoodCourt from 11 to about 14... I'll be there waiting for whoever wants to attend! (details later if the location will change)
The second part will take place in the evening of January 1, 2015 in Sibiu (GC5HEZP)
There, after searching caches in the wonderful transylvanian city durring the day, we will meet local geocachers, we shall make new friends and we will have a great time among friends at Kleines Cafe, after 19:00 hours.
At the end of the evening Friendship, The Awesome Travel Bug will start his mission, which means it will leave me and will either be grabbed by one of the geocachers there, or will remain in the cache nearby: GC4NXPF
I'm eager to meet you / see you again!
