Built in 1868 by Lord Radnor, Holy Trinity was one of many churches that were built every quarter of a mile to ensure they were within easy walking distance of the expanding Victorian local community. The church appears to date from the 11th Century, and is built of brick with Kentish rag cornerstones. It has clerestory windows which give the church a light feel. There are also some exceptional stained glass windows, depicting the 12 'I am' sayings of Jesus, and a magnificently restored apse.
It has one of the finest organs of its kind in England, and a unique octagonal shaped tower at the north end which overlooks the English Channel. The church can seat 800 and is open everyday of the week.
