There were once 5 beaver lodges along the far eastern shore. Now 2 of those lodges are unused, but 2 more lodges have appeared nearer the western shore. I once saw 4 beavers on the almost frozen Bennett's Pond.

There are no parking or entrance fees. The park is open from 8 am to sunset. Pets are permitted on a maximum 7 ft leash.
