Florida Finders' Fest at the
Fish and Wildlife Commission's
Ocala Conservation Center and Youth Camp

On Saturday, October 24, 2015 from 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM or later, we will have several semi-competitive, somewhat organized, get lost in the woods, geo-fun kinda caching activities. There will be additional activities in the forest from Thursday through Sunday (See Activities below, more details to follow.)
Attendees should plan on bringing their own food and drinks for the day and/or weekend, although on Saturday there will be the option of purchasing food from three different food trucks. These trucks are planning on being available from approximately 11:00am until 6:00 pm on Saturday. Trucks are able to accept debit, credit or cash. The trucks are as follows: BJ's Fresh Express - serving salad, Chicago dogs, specialty burgers; Poppy's Food Truck - serving American, Mexican and BBQ ; Cora's Kitchen - serving chicken tenders, vegan tacos, chicken wings.
The posted coordinates are for the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission's Ocala Conservation Center and Youth Camp in the Ocala National Forest. There is a day use fee required to use this area. For those camping or staying in the bunkhouses, that cost will be included in your fee.

CAMPING
The Ocala Conservation Center and Youth Camp is a beautiful site on Eaton Lake. We will be posting information regarding camping, which will be available from Thursday afternoon, October 22nd through Sunday morning, October 25th. While there is limited availability of electricity at the camp, there is none in the camping area and no individual site hookups.
BUNKHOUSES
There will be rustic bunkhouse accommodations available. These have electricity and heat/AC and showers. Bath house is also nearby. No linens are provided.
We will have a Men's and a Women's bunkhouse, and a coed bunkhouse for couples and families. Prices and reservations information are posted in the registration section of our web site.
OTHER CAMPING AND LODGING
For those with large RVs or looking for campsites with electrical hookups or those wanting to stay in hotels, information about other available camping and lodging is posted on our Florida Finder Fest website.
ACTIVITIES
The "philosophy" of Florida Finders' Fest is that there is something for all cachers. If you're a numbers ho, there are lots of caches. If you are looking for "quality", you'll be in a national forest with lots of great new caches and lots of long established caches. Hiking, kayaking, drive ups, off road and everything in between. It's all HERE!
If you just want to hang out with some fellow cachers, there is plenty of opportunity for that as well.
We do have a number of semi-organized activities. Participate in some, all or none as you are so inclined. The adventures will include The Gauntlet, Poker Run, Best Team T-Shirt, Great Coin and Travel Bug Race and more.
