This Wherigo geocache is, as the name implies, a tour of the Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs, Colorado. If you have done other Wherigo geocaches you will notice something different about this one. There are very few pictures or sounds. The reason for that is there are no photos that could compare with the views you will see as you make your way through the stages of this Wherigo. The zones of this Wherigo are hidden however you will activate them on a normal driving tour of the park. Wherigo™ Cache
Wherigo is a toolset for creating and playing GPS-enabled adventures in the real world. By integrating a Wherigo experience, called a cartridge, with finding a geocache, the geocaching hunt can be an even richer experience. Among other uses, Wherigo allows geocachers to interact with physical and virtual elements such as objects or characters while still finding a physical geocache container. Due to the complications some are having with the cartridge playing differently among various devices. I am adding the instructions for the cartridge here. This will also be inside the cartridge but this is a sneek peak.
Instructions:
This Wherigo will take you on a tour of the Garden of the Gods. Once you visit each location, you will unlock the coords of the geocache. You will have to find each zone simply by driving through the park. All of the zones are hidden however you will not need to leave your georide until you go to sign the geocache.
Each zone will result in a new token in your inventory. When you have located all 5 zones, go to the Trading Post. The geocache will then be added to your map. It will not unlock until you visit each zone.
After going to all of the impressive locations throughout the park, you may wonder why the final is in such an ordinary spot. The answer to that is simple but somber. The location you will be taken to is where we said goodbye to Max. It is a ceremonial site and not a burial site. The location will always remain special to us.
