In the tower was a stone sign where was a quote from "The Tales
of Ensign Ståhl / Vänrikki Stoolin tarinat". Vandals broke the sign
but there is a photo of the tower in an information table.
The coordinates of the cache are:

You can get the coordinates of the cache in two manners:
1) When you know, who is the poet,
you can calculate the coordinates,
yyy = year of birth - 1223
xxx = year of death - 1229
2) Count the length of the verses in the sign,
yyy = letters in the first verse +
540
xxx = letters in the second verse + 606
This is my first cache and also first cache in Hämeenlinna.
Terrain maybe dangerous in winter and the cache is under
snow.

There is quite much garbage in the woods near the outlook tower.
Take a plastic bag along, you can fill it on your way back. There
is litter bin near the outlook tower.

Näkötornissa oli alunperin laatta ja siinä kaksi säettä Vänrikki
Stoolin tarinoista. Vandaalit rikkoivat laatan ja lopulta se
poistettiin. Viereisessä infotaulussa on kuitenkin kuva vanhasta
näkötornista ja sen alla laatan teksti.

Tämä on ensimmäinen kätköni ja myös ensimmäinen
Hämeenlinnassa.

roskapussi mukaan, saat sen varmaan täyteen paluumatkalla.
