This is just outside the Danesbury Nature Reserve. A favourite place on Ellie's Wanderings for her to refuel her empty stomach on blackberries! The cache is a small container with log and pencil. Placed with kind permission of Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council.
This is a small area of land that is left to grow wild with lots of lovely blackberry bushes. The path leads out of the Danesbury Park Nature Reserve Fernery Field to the old Great North Road, now disused. The Clock Hotel used to be sited here but has now been demolished to make way for a housing development. 13/01/2019 Quick update - all blackberry bushes have been cleared, and as dear Ellie is no longer with us it takes on a whole new feeling.
