GS Gold Award Traditional Geocache

Part of a three-part Girl Scout Award geocache series, this geocache is located on a public trail in Stanhope connecting Stanhope Valley School to Lenape Valley School. The terrain is easy starting from the Parking Waypoint. Inside of the kid-friendly geocache, one will find swag to swap and an information sheet on the Girl Scout Gold Award.  The container is a lock and lock tupperware covered in camouflague duck tape. 

Girl Scout Award Series Part 3

This is the final cache in the Girl Scout Award Series and is named for the Girl Scout Gold Award. As part of my Gold Award project, I performed maintenance on this trail in Stanhope, clearing the trail of loose rocks and debris in addition to reblazing it and creating directional signs for the Lenape Valley High School Cross Country course.

Park in the Valley Road School Parking lot and find all three caches in this series starting with the Bronze Award, Silver Award, and ending up at the highest award in Girl Scouting, the Gold Award!

All three caches are kid friendly with lots of SWAG inside.

Please enjoy this nice trail and spend a few minutes admiring the natural surroundings. Bring your friends next time for a nice mile long round trip hike from one end to the other!
