Geocache Description:

A tree climb in the historic and beautiful Stourbridge Common

A cache in my Cambridge Ascension tree climb series. As with all the ascension caches, I placed this without equpiment or aid, but you may wish to use some to assist.

Stourbridge Common was host for many years to the largest fair in medieval Europe, and is famousy where Newton bought much of his equipment. The grandeur of that medieval fair is long gone, but its legacy persists in the names of some of the nearby streets, such as Garlic Row, named after the traders who set up their particular stalls there.

The cache is a small lock and lock in a crook of the tree. Please take care when replacing it so that it is wedged and won't roll out. It's rather further up the tree than many of the other caches in this series, but there are lots of branches to hold onto, and they're nice and solid. Happy climbing!
