After enjoying the views and lunch at the Trampas Lakes, I prepared to head back down the valley. But then I saw a trail that traversed along the western slopes of the valley without losing elevation. I followed this trail and eventually came to Hidden Lake, another beautiful spot in the Sangre de Cristos. I spent a little time there, walking around the lake and placing this cache. When leaving, I tried to find the trail shown on my map that would drop back down to the main trail, but couldn't locate it, so just bushwacked down the hill.
