Geocache Description:

The Challenge

South Florida is a beautiful and diverse land. There are vast swamps and forests, scenic beaches and urban areas populated with people from around the world. This Challenge should take you to a variety of places and areas that you might not have visited otherwise.

Given coordinates are correct, but since this is a Challenge cache you will have to fulfill some requirements before logging the cache. Found logs from visitors who do not fulfill the requirement will be deleted. If you visit the cache without fulfilling the requirements you can log with a note.

  • You must have at least one cache which is within 0-1 degrees bearing from the Challenge cache itself and at least another one for 1-2 degrees bearing and so on, up to the 359-360 degrees span.
  • To figure out which degree segment a cache falls into, you can use the online tool provided. Click ---HERE--- to go to the Checker for this Challenge. Alternatively, you can use the great-circle distance formula to calculate it yourself assuming that 0 or 360 degrees is positioned at 12:00.
  • Caches found within Broward, Charlotte, Collier, Desoto, Glades, Hardee, Hendry, Highlands, Lee, Manatee, Martin, Miami-Dade, Monroe, Okeechobee, Palm Beach, Sarasota and St. Lucie counties are eligible towards the Challenge.
  • All cache types except Locationless and Lab caches may be used.
  • Archived and Disabled caches count towards the Challenge.
  • For caches which do not have the final coordinates where the cache is plotted, the coordinates where they are plotted on the map are those that count and not the final coordinates.
  • If you used the online tool and your stats are public, you don't need to do anything else as I will verify your stats by using the online tool.
  • If you used an alternate means to identify the degrees, you can make a bookmark list of the caches used to qualify or list the GC#s in your log. I will contact you through your geocaching account if I have any questions about your calculations.

Many thanks go to ganja1447 for the original idea and for all the help with the Checker.
