This is a magnetic micro cache. The building of St. Gabriel's Parish Church on Heaton Road is listed and was built in 1899, with the south transept and chapel completed in 1931. It is cruciform, in Free Gothic style, has a distinctive tower housing the organ loft, and an attached church hall and choir vestry. St. Gabriel's used to have an additional church hall on Chillingham Road, a short walk from the church and close to local shops, but it sold that red brick building in 1995 and the following year it became a day nursery.
