ePeterso2: I went by the final location today to check on the container, and while the container is there, the log and contents are gone. Also, the hiding place for the container is deteriorating significantly, leaving the container completely exposed.
Also, several of the stages of this challenge are also gone or have had their thematic content altered so that they no longer make sense. So the Local Challenge is difficult (or, perhaps, may be impossible) to complete. As a result, I've decided to archive the Local Challenge cache of Geodyssey.
The Geodyssey site will remain active so that puzzleheaded cachers can still complete the Remote Challenge and log the Travel Bug.
This cache was a lot of fun to create, and I really enjoyed interacting with the community of solvers it attracted shortly after it was released over three years ago. I'm grateful to all of the people who took the time to solve it and find it.
