Puisqu'il n'y a pas eu de maintenance dans un laps de temps raisonnable, j'archive cette cache.

DE: Dieser Tradi erinnert an die deutsch-französische Geschichte dieser Gegend.

EN: This traditional cache points to the historic heritage that connects Germany and France in this area.

An dieser Stelle wurde am 18.10.1944 die erst 35jährige Jeanne Francois tödlich verletzt. Die Mutter von 7 Kindern besaß ein Hutgeschäft in St. Dié und war Mitglied der Résistance. Leider finden sich im Internet fast keine Informationen über Jeanne Francois. Als Tourist in dieser Gegend (besonders als Deutscher) sollte man sich aber über die Résistance und die Greueltaten deutscher Soldaten während des zweiten Weltkriegs informieren. In der Gegend gibt es eine Reihe von Gedenkstätten und Museen zu diesem Thema.

At this site, Jeanne Francois was lethally injured on October 18th, 1944. She was only 35 years old and had 7 children. She lived in St. Dié where Jeanne was running a hat shop. Unfortunately, there is not much information on Jeanne Francois on the internet. As a tourist in this area (especially with a German background) you should still have some knowledge about the French Resistance and the German atrocities in this area. There are numerous memorial sites and museums around that cover WW2 and connected topics.
